Summer is in full swing and the festive season beckons. Sunday Sun will get the ball rolling next weekend when it hosts the Mzoli wine-tasting at Mzoli’s Place on November 26. Guests will rub shoulders with Sunday Sun editor Phalane Motale and editor of Wine Magazine, Fiona MacDonald, among many other people.
Preparations are well under way and owner Mzoli Ngcauzele is ready for his suppliers, Withington Wines, to unleash their full range of wines for the event. Ngcaucele, the businessman and aspiring wine master, says: “It’s going to be one of the biggest business days of my life and I can’t wait. Having a selection of wines on the patrons’ tables balances nicely with the platters we serve.”
Vanessa Withington of Withington Wines echoes Ngcauzle’s sentiments. “After eating at Mzoli’s one Sunday, we saw that we had a lot in common. Firstly the Withington red wine and Mzoli’s platters taste good together. We also realised that we are both capable of turning meals into occasions and gatherings into events. We are extremely proud to be associated with him.” Withington believes that patrons will take to their wide selection of wines.
P4 Heart radio personality Kaketso will be the compere.
