Wine Tasting Sets a New Trend at Mzoli’s

On Saturday 26th the much anticipated Mzoli’s Sunday Sun Wine Tasting Event was held. The following article by Ponko ka Masiba appeared in the Sunday Sun on 3rd December 2006.  

The wine-tasting and business networking session by Sunday Sun in conjunction with Withington Wines and hosted by Gugulethu businessman Mzoli Ngcauzele, in the Mother City last Sunday, did not disapoint.

Local and foreign guests came in droves to be part of the fun and to win prizes. As early as 8am, readers started streaming in to secure themselves a place under the sun.  

As the festivites started in the afternoon, the wine was flowing and music from DJ Bongani Njoli of Heart 104.9 kept revellers jamming until late into the night. Some of them left early on Monday morning.   

Sunday Sun editor Phalane Motale assured excited guests that the wine tasting event was the beginning of bigger and better things to come in the New Year.
