South African politics are always interesting to say the least. For those who thought JZ a fate worse than death, the options are a bit limited – a chilled glass of that ever so slightly wooded Withington Chardonnay will perk up the morale no end.

The moral of the story for Mr Mbeki …. if you do not deliver the goods, they will be delivered to you.

The good news is that democracy works at the foot of Africa …. pity that it does not in the rest of it.
