Turning Meals into Occasions …

We recently received the following note and pic below, from Gerrit Cloete. We are always delighted when we hear Withington is remaining true to its purpose: turning meals into occasions, gatherings into events and simple pleasures into pure joy.   

5 of the grandchildren (that’s me, my brothers and sisters)of Prof AI Perold, father of Pinotage, recently came together at Vleesbaai for a few days.

We had the normal fun and games, to which Charles was no small contributor!  Not because he was there in person, but one his bottles of 2005 Shiraz/Cabarnet Sauvignon was.  So there we were, Pintoage grandchildren enjoying a superb Withington wine while enjoying the sunshine and breaking waves 50 meters from where we were sitting…  Charles has a picture to prove it – maybe he will post it? Thanks, Charles, for helping us make good memories!
