Spending your Time Wisely

A while ago I received a circular from a firm of solicitors in the UK, advising me that a fellow I had dealt with in the past, was now a partner and inter alia, his rate was now 250GBP per hour.

I replied to Will slater with a letter of congratulations, saying something like: “well done Will, and at that rate in South Africa you can feed a family of four for a week and still have some change. However even better news for you in the UK, you can go to the Avery’s site on the web and buy a case of Withington every 16.26 minutes.”

35 minutes later I received an email saying “I’ve just bought two”.

The English always have a good sense of humour.
