Reader’s Recommendations : Mick Jones, Alberton — Withington Chardonnay 2007 R33 Charles Withington is a godsend to serious wine drinkers, sourcing as he does a decent drop at a reasonable price. The flavours are of oranges and lemons, like the bells of St Clements, and this is one Chardonnay that is not over-oaked, thank goodness.

I am delighted to advise that Withington Wines now available at Van Riebeeck Liquors in Belvedere Road Claremont. Easy to find, parking in front of the store and ask either Karel, Veronica or Brian to assist. They have a good range of beers too … and really cold !
