Bafana Bafana!

So the South African soccer team did not make it beyond the first round. A bit of sadness that, as a nation really got very excited when they drew their first match. I suppose though we should look at it from the fact that we were ranked 83rd for the start of the tournament, and even more significantly, we beat the French, a highly rated team.

The Irish however will be rejoicing – the French should never have been here in the first place, as it was they, the Irish, who rightly should have been the victors.

Most important of all though is to have some 300,000 people visiting our country, who in the normal course of events, would probably never have done so
